European Local Fiber Alliance (ELFA) Voice of Alternative Fiber Operators
Founded in 2014, the European Local Fiber Alliance (ELFA) has evolved from an informal coalition into a formal non-profit association, serving as the voice of alternative fiber operators across Europe.
ELFA indirectly represents around 900 additional fiber operators via National Trade Associtions throught Europe, giving our network a broad and authoritative perspective on the European fiber market. This is connecting europe with connectivity.
ELFA advocates for fair competition, open access, and accelerated fiber deployment in both urban and rural areas. Over the years, we have contributed to key initiatives, including the WIK and EY questionnaires, providing expert insights on the regulatory and market environment for fiber networks.
As the collective voice of alternative operators, ELFA shares key insights, recommendations, and industry expertise with European policymakers. We remain committed to supporting a future-proof regulatory framework for fiber networks and are open to further engagement and detailed discussions as needed.
